Those Provincial Reconstruction Teams in Iraq were developed in anthropologists in mind. Two of the top international relations and international development professors at my university were anthropologists before they focused on other things. If you are interested in international relations I would advise you to get an internship as a TA, or if you are in a city where there are think tanks to apply there instead. Also, in the field of international development there is a need for anthropologists as well, and the list of organizations that do this is quite extensive. I hope this helps!
