Pending just means it’s “in the works”, and hasn’t been finalized yet.
IT MEANS THAT THEY NEED TO CHECK ALL INFO THAT U SUBMITTED AND INFO FROM THE COMPANY. U SHOULD GET IT SINCE U WERE LAID OFF.
Sometimes they put it in file 13 - which is the Pending File
hoping that you will get fed up waiting and not follow through
on your claim. Stick with it and if it seems like an extraordinary
long time to wait, ask if they need any more information to make
a decision, or go see your local member of parliament -
if you have no source of income, visit your local “welfare” office
to get some money to live on while they are deciding on your
claim
- good luck, this mut be a horrible situation to go through….
your employer should have given you some information about
how you can pay living expenses after they shut the plant down
Pending means just that. They’re working on your claim.
I recently had to file and what pending status in case meant, they were checking to see if I qualified for benefits.
Which I did but they have to do all that red tape. Then I had a week more to wait before it started.
If you haven’t heard anything in the next week I suggest you make that 1-800 call.
