What state should a individual file for unemployment. The state the company is or where the reside? I worked for a company in CA, but live in OH and worked out of my home office.

  1. Wow. that’s a tough one. It is based on where you work, not where the company is, so you file in Ohio

  4. You file with the state you work/live in. That’s where the wages were earned from.
